A stab at polyphasic sleep

So I stumbled upon the concept of polyphasic sleep and it immediately caught my interest. I hadn't necessarily considered trying to convert to a polyphasic sleep cycle until I cam across Steve Pavlina's experiences and personal experiment. After some thought my curiosity got the best of me and I decided to give it a shot (it also helps that I really have nothing more exciting to do).

As of right now I'm starting my second 'day'. Yesterday I had a normal nights sleep which normally consists of around 6-7 hours of sleep. I then started taking 'naps' throughout the day starting at 11am and then continuing to take another every 4 hours although I've shifted the schedule a little so that it's now 2:00, 6:00, 10:00 in both the AM and PM. I had a lot of difficult between 12:00-4:00 AM but seem to be doing much better now and am getting ready to take my 6:00 AM 'nap'. I believe the true test of how this whole thing is going to start off is how I'll feel at work today. I'm hoping that the transition from mono to polyphasic is as short as possible as I've already slipped up once. When I took my 2:00 AM 'nap' I slept 30 minutes, woke up briefly, and then slept another 30 minutes. I wasn't too confident at the time but I'm feeling much better now and things are looking up but we'll see how long that lasts.
